Enjoy a Picnic on the Lawn

The "Oyama Plaza" located in the center of Nanazawa Forest Park is an area with well-maintained lawns. It's a perfect spot for enjoying a picnic with your own lunch, and on weekends it's popular with families. In addition, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mt. Oyama, which stands at an altitude of 1,252 meters, and from mid-April to mid-May, you can see beautiful rhododendrons in shades of red and pink.

Enjoy a Barbecue

In the park, there is a barbecue area where you can enjoy delicious meat and fish in nature. It's available for use by reservation only, and you can choose between an area with a roof and tables or an area with just tables. You can bring your own ingredients or even order them in advance, making it possible to have a barbecue without bringing anything. Each use is for 2.5 hours, and it operates in two parts per day. Playing on an Athletic Course

In the park, there is an athletic field where children can experience playing in nature while using their bodies. The field is equipped with bouldering walls, Tarzan ropes, and net playground equipment. The surroundings are surrounded by forests, so there are also delightful encounters with small insects. Take a Walk in the Forest

At Nanazawa Forest Park, there are a total of four walking courses available, ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your physical ability. The longest course, the "Master Course," is a long course that circles almost all areas of the park, with a total distance of about 3,520 meters. Along the way, there are places where you can walk through the forest, allowing you to enjoy both exercise and forest bathing. There are also places with stairs, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes like sneakers when taking on the challenge.

Enjoy a Pottery Experience

At the "Forest Atelier" located in the park, you can enjoy a pottery experience. In addition to pottery classes held throughout the year, there are also programs held on Sundays and holidays that do not require reservations, making it easy for people from out of town to participate. Even if it's your first time, you can receive careful guidance from the instructor, making it possible to create a unique and wonderful piece of work.

Access

Recommended Access by Car

Nanasawa Forest Park is located a little away from the city center, so it is recommended to access by car. It takes about 20 minutes from the Atsugi Interchange on the Tomei Expressway and about 8 minutes from the Isehara Oyama Interchange on the Shin-Tomei Expressway. If you are using public transportation to access, there is a bus from Odakyu Line "Hon-Atsugi Station" that stops at "Nanasawa Onsen Entrance" or "Mori no Sato 3-chome" bus stop, and it takes an 8-minute walk to access.

Parking

Equipped with a Total of Four Parking Lots

Nanasawa Forest Park has a total of four parking lots (one of which is only available during peak season), with a capacity of about 200 cars. The Central Gate Parking Lot and the Second Parking Lot are located in the center of the park, making them convenient for accessing any area. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April to November, there is a fee, with regular cars costing 530 yen. The North Gate Parking Lot, a little further away from the Central Gate, is free all year round, making it a recommended option for those who want to use the park cheaply. The park is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (until 5:00 p.m. from December to February).
