Sukayu Onsen is a hot spring located in Aomori Prefecture. The bathhouse features a large cypress bath called the "Hiba Senjin Bath," which is made entirely of cypress wood and measures 160 tatami mats in size. Visitors can enjoy four different types of hot springs, including hot water, cold water, a 60/40 mix of hot and cold water, and a waterfall bath. This hot spring has been healing people for over 300 years, with a sacred spring that has flowed to soothe many people. The overwhelming space made of cypress wood without a single pillar creates a sense of unity with nature that transcends time. Depending on the time of day, the bath may be limited to women only, so even those who are anxious about mixed-gender bathing can enjoy the Hiba Senjin Bath. The spring quality is acidic sulfur spring, which is effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder, paralysis due to exercise, fatigue recovery, and chronic skin diseases.
