とても風格ある立派な外観。 これで、市営の温泉で300円ポッキリというのは驚きです。 さらには、砂風呂もあり、1500円で体験して、一般温泉も利用できるので人気のようです。 貴重品類は、浴室入り口前に、戻らない100円式コインロッカーがあります。浴室内にはむき出しロッカーしかないので、要注意です。 車の方は、必要な現金だけにした方がいいです。 中の脱衣所は浴室との仕切りのない丸見えスペースなので、しっかり見張っていれば、ケータイや鍵も盗まれることはないと思います。 浴室には石けん、シャンプーなどないですし、洗い場もないので、浴槽の湯を使い、掛け湯をする程度かと。 ワタシはそれでも、地元の方あるあるで、浴槽の湯を使いながら、シャンプー、石けんを持参して洗いました。 入り口の感じの気さくで良いおじさんが、「少し熱いかも知れないけど、頑張って入って」と言ってましたが、 全く熱くはありませんでした。 ロゴ入り販売タオル350円の他、 別府オリジナルのタオルやTシャツなど、温泉グッズが充実していました。 休憩スペースも広く、座敷もあり、趣きもあり、良かったです。 市営温泉めぐりでは必ず来た方が良いと思います。 駐車場は無いので、近くのコインパーキングを使ってください。

朝8時からの砂湯利用させてもらいました。 古き良き設備をしっかり管理されてます。 鍵を無くして、落としたかも知れないと探していたら、年配のスタッフの方がベンチの裏まで探してくれたりととても親切にしていただきました。(結局鞄の奥底から出てきました。)大変ご迷惑をおかけして申し訳ありませんでした。 施設もスタッフもとても温かい場所です。

よる、別府温泉街を探索してる時に通りかかって入ってみました。 老舗の温泉というか文化財だと思います。 お酒を飲んでいたので規則で入れず、翌日の朝一に再訪しました。 雰囲気のあるいい温泉でした。 洗い場などは無いので、掛け湯をしてつかるだけの温泉です。 古くからある地元の施設らしく色んなローカルルールが書いてありましたが、風呂の淵に腰掛けてはいけないルールは初めてみました。 雰囲気がいいので、観光で行くにはいい温泉です!
