The Ken Domon Memorial Museum was opened in 1983, after Ken Domon, a giant in the world of photography, became the first honorary citizen of Sakata City and donated all of his works to his hometown. Access in Just 5 Minutes by Car from Sakata IC!

To access the Tsuchido Ken Memorial Museum by public transportation, take the Runrun Bus Sakata Station University Line from JR Sakata Station and get off at the Tsuchido Ken Memorial Museum bus stop, which takes about 17 minutes. It's just a short walk from the bus stop. If you're coming by car, take National Route 7 and then Prefectural Route 355 via Sakata IC on the Nihonkai Tohoku Expressway, and you'll arrive at the Tsuchido Ken Memorial Museum in about 3 km or approximately 5 minutes.
