Taihei-san Shrine

Every spring, the Taihei-san Cherry Blossom Festival is held on Taihei-san. Cherry blossoms bloom for about 2km around the shrine, allowing visitors to take a stroll along the cherry blossom-lined path. At night, the illuminated cherry blossoms create a fantastic scenery. You can also enjoy the local specialties of Taihei-san, such as dango, yakitori, and tamagoyaki, while having a cherry blossom viewing picnic. The Inner Shrine is a separate shrine located halfway up the mountain of Taihei-san Shrine. It takes about a 5-minute walk from the main shrine, and the area surrounding the Inner Shrine exudes a mysterious atmosphere. The Inner Shrine is surrounded by rich natural mountains, and a river with pure water flows through it. The Inner Shrine itself has a mystical atmosphere surrounded by trees, captivating visitors. In addition, there is a hiking course where you can enjoy the nature of Taihei-san on the way to the Inner Shrine. Especially during the autumn foliage season, the area around the Inner Shrine is dyed with beautiful autumn colors, offering a magnificent view!

The three famous gourmet foods of Taihei Mountain are odango (sweet rice dumplings), yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and tamagoyaki (rolled omelette). Odango is sold at a tea house near the Kenshin-daira parking lot. It has a mild sweetness and a pleasant chewy texture. Yakitori is sold at the "Summit Shop" at the top of the mountain. Local chicken is used and carefully grilled over charcoal, giving it a crispy and juicy flavor. Tamagoyaki is also sold at the Summit Shop. Local eggs are used, giving it a fluffy texture and a rich taste that spreads in your mouth. These famous foods are also popular as a companion for climbing Taihei Mountain. Among the Taihei Mountain Prefectural Natural Park, the Hydrangea Hill is particularly beautiful and attracts many people from spring to summer. Various colors of hydrangeas are planted along this slope, and many tourists visit to see the stunning scenery. In addition, on both sides of this slope, there is a forest of Taihei Mountain Shrine, where you can enjoy rich nature such as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, as well as hydrangeas. The Hydrangea Hill is at its most beautiful during the rainy season and will heal those who visit.

The Warehouse Town is an area where you can feel the traditional beauty of Japanese architecture, with a townscape of warehouses that has continued since the Edo period, about 10 minutes by car from Mt.
