Kashima, Kasumigauraとは
Kashima is home to the Kashima Shrine, which was founded in the era of Japanese mythology and has been revered as a god of war since ancient times. Other historical and nature-rich tourist spots include the Suigo Sawara Ayame Park, famous for its irises, and Kasumigaura, which boasts the second largest lake surface area in Japan and is proud of its sailboat. Kashima City is the home town of the J-League Kashima Antlers and is also famous as one of the leading soccer cities in the Kanto region. Since the spots are a little far apart from each other, it is recommended to rent a car and leisurely tour each spot while driving.
