Hitachi City Kamine Zoo

Kamine Amusement Park is a bustling amusement park for families with children located within Kamine Park! Admission to Kamine Amusement Park is free for both adults and children, with each ride costing 200 yen (some are 100 yen) and becoming paid from age 3. There are a total of 11 "rides," including a Ferris wheel, a Nikorando, and a Merry-go-round. Facilities and attractions that children of young ages will love have been developed, so there's no doubt that children will be overjoyed!

This is a leisure land where you can ride thrilling attractions such as the "Jet Coaster" and the "Ferris Wheel" that climbs up to 30 meters. Although it may seem like it's designed for infants and young children, it's actually a facility that adults can enjoy as well, with two types of roller coasters, a sky train, and a firebird that provide thrills for people of all ages and genders. If you plan to play at the leisure land, it's recommended to purchase an all-you-can-ride ticket. For 2000 yen per child (ages 3 to middle school) and 2500 yen per adult (high school and above), you can enjoy unlimited attractions from 9:30 am to 4:15 pm. At the top of Kamine Park is a two-story observatory where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the Pacific Ocean. At night, the beautiful night view is a perfect spot for a date. The park has about 1000 cherry blossom trees, and during the peak season, you can also enjoy the view of the park in full bloom from the observatory. The observatory's fence is covered with many padlocks, making it a spot where couples can create memories by writing their names on the padlocks and locking them, ensuring they won't forget their love.

Kamine Park has various restaurants where you can enjoy Ibaraki's gourmet cuisine. At the Elephant Cafe in Kamine Zoo, you can enjoy the Kamine Burger made with Hitachi beef while watching elephants from the terrace seats. At the Hippopotamus House, you can try the special sauce Yakitori-don and Miso Tonkotsu Ramen. At the Horizon Kamine snack bar, you can have dishes such as Katsu Curry and Hamburger Set Meals.

The Hitachi Civic Center is a unique landmark located in front of JR Hitachi Station, offering a facility where you can learn and have fun at the same time! The visible sphere from the outside is called the Celestial Theater, where you can enjoy a planetarium in a high-quality space. In addition, there are science museums, libraries, and various events held at the Civic Center, making it a great place to have fun.
