Kiryuoka Zoo

At Kiryugaoka Zoo, there are 522 different types of animals being raised. The zoo is home to popular animals such as lions, giraffes, and penguins, allowing visitors to interact with many different animals. Houtokuji Temple is a Rinzai sect temple famous for its floor maple trees. Large events are held throughout the year, such as the special opening of the floor maple trees in May, the Wind Chime Festival in July, and the special opening of the floor maple trees for autumn leaves in November. The temple's garden, which was created by the head priest in 2000, is a top spot to visit and features a beautiful pond garden that was selected by a man who visited over 2,700 night views around the world.
