Sakai, Sennanとは
Sakai was once the most important trading center in Japan and was highly valued by the rulers of each era. It is also famous for having Japan's largest ancient tomb, the "Emperor Nintoku Tomb." There are many historical figures associated with this city, including Gyoki, who was born here, and Francis Xavier, a missionary who entered the country via Sakai's Dejima.
