桂沢ダムによってできた大きなダム湖で道立の自然公園にもなっています。秋の紅葉が綺麗で冬にはワカサギ釣りも出来ます。湖畔には恐竜で有名な桂沢公園がありましたが、新ダム建設に伴い2022年に閉鎖されました。ずいぶん幼い頃に行った記憶があり沈む前にもう一度見たかったですが、更地になってました。

2021年10月来訪。三笠市の山中に位置する、桂沢ダムの完成によって出現した人造湖。国道452号から美しい紅葉を満喫しました。

恐竜の像が見所ですね 他にもダムを上から見下ろしたりできたり、ダムについての勉強もできます。 秋には綺麗な紅葉も楽しめますよ!
