Fukuroda Falls

Fukuroda Onsen is a hot spring resort located just a 5-minute drive from Fukuroda Falls, and is a must-stay destination for those visiting the falls. There is a parking lot, but to use it, you need to purchase a meal or souvenir at Takimotoya Honten. The restaurant offers mountain flavors, with menu items such as Fukiware soba, grilled salted ayu fish, fresh yuba tofu skin, and Oku-Kuji shamo chicken. Souvenirs include local specialties from Ibaraki prefecture, such as konjac jelly, pickles, sweets, and folk crafts. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Fukiware Falls, so it's also a good place to take a break!

The Bagata Falls light-up event, also known as "Daigo Light," illuminates the majestic waterfall, creating a fantastic and surreal sight. You can enjoy a view of the falls that is different from what you would see during the day and experience the breathtaking beauty that will touch your heart in a mystical atmosphere. The event takes place every year from November to January, and on particularly cold days, you can see the illuminated "ice waterfall," which is sure to be a memorable experience!

Futagami Falls is famous for being a waterfall with changing scenery throughout the four seasons, and in particular, you can see beautiful autumn foliage and mysterious ice falls in the fall and winter! Depending on the temperature, there may be times when the ice falls cannot be seen, so the official website of Ogo-machi has a live camera where you can check if the waterfall is frozen. Why not visit and enjoy the different views of the waterfall in each season, as the scenery of the waterfall changes with the seasons?

This is a hiking course on Tsukiyama, which towers behind the Fudotaki Waterfall. It's a mountain course with a challenging climb, including steep stairs and slopes, and takes about 2 hours to complete. You can take a break and see the Tsukiyama Castle ruins and Tsukiyama Kannon Temple near the summit. You can also see the Fudotaki Waterfall from above and enjoy the scenery around Fudotaki while going up and down the mountain.
